Harrington Harbour Pastoral Charge, Full-time Minister

Our two point charge seeks a warm friendly person with good preaching abilities and a willingness to work with people of all ages and in collaboration with other denominations of our community. As the pastor of our congregations, a two point charge on the Lower North Shore of Quebec, the Minister will be responsible for guiding us through a period of transformation as we grow towards our future. We look forward to a period of support as we renew our church community. The Minister will provide leadership as we develop programs with our church, and as we reach out to the broader community to forge new relationships. The Minister will be adept at working with existing groups within our church by providing new direction, offering support and encouragement to the congregation and empowering church members to take on responsible leadership roles. The Minister will have strong skills in leading inspirational worship and giving spiritual direction through sermons, prayer and sacraments and rites (weddings, funerals, baptisms, confirmation). The Minister will have a deep commitment to living out his or her faith with integrity and communicating the message of the Gospel through words as well as actions (see annex of JNAP for more information)
