Greenfield Park United Church (Greenfield Park, Quebec) is seeking a full-time Minister

Greenfield Park United Church is searching for a full-time minister either ordained or diaconal who is patient, compassionate and approachable and has the ability to work with diverse groups. We are looking for someone with organizational and leadership skills. The position is accountable to the Quebec Presbytery and to the Pastoral Charge through the Ministry and Personnel Committee.  The Minister will work with and assist the congregation in growing our vision of greater outreach into the community and attaining our goals: Developing new relationships with social groups; growing our contact with the youth of the community; preparation of the church bulletin (with the secretary) -while a knowledge of the French language is an asset it is not a requirement. The Minister with prepare the weekly worship service as appropriate with the church calendar; Selection of music in conjunction with the music director. The Minister will actively work with presbytery and other church organizations. The Minister will take the lead in pastoral care and will work closely with and support the Pastoral Care team. The Minister will be expected to be involved with the congregation outside the Church service and to attend congregational events. The Minister will be expected to be involved with Christian and ecumenical development. The Minister with be responsible for his/her own personal professional development skills.
