URGENT ACTION ALERT
Dear friends,
Human rights workers and development workers in the Cordillera region are under serious threat with recent incidents of harassment, surveillance and political vilification. The incidents were perpetrated by elements and troops under the 86th IBPA and the 5th Infantry Division as part of the implementation of the Aquino government’s National Internal Security Plan Operation Plan Bayanihan (Operation Plan Cooperation).

United Church Says National Inquiry Needed
Toronto: The United Church of Canada has added its voice to the call by the Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC) and the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) for the Canadian government to convene as soon as possible a national inquiry into missing and murdered Aboriginal women and girls in Canada.
